The story in this specific piece reflects the winter season in Omaha, the coronavirus pandemic and the new ways in which people are brought together. The days of on and off snow inspired me to add fluffy snowflakes and snow piles to my illustration

These igloos symbolize a new tradition that is taking place in our community. Some couples have even got married in them. During a time when we have to be creative with entertainment and many public places are limiting capacity, it is really a reassuring thing to see how unique new ideas have emerged during this time.

I hope this illustration brings as much joy to you as it did for me to create it!
